Privacy Policy

Last updated: 9 September 2026

This policy explains what data inprogress handles. How much applies to you depends on whether you use it as a guest or with an account.

Guest mode — nothing leaves your device

If you use inprogress without signing in, your board and checklist are stored only in your browser’s local storage. They are never sent to us, we cannot see them, and clearing your browser storage deletes them. We set no tracking cookies and run no analytics.

With an account — synced to our database

If you create an account to sync across devices, we process the following:

Data Purpose Legal basis (GDPR)
Account identity (email, and name/avatar if you sign in with Google) Authenticate you and link your board to you Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b))
Your board and checklist content Store and sync your tasks across your devices Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b))
Authentication session cookie Keep you signed in Strictly necessary

We never see or store your password — authentication is handled by our provider (Clerk). There are no payments, so we never handle card or bank details.

Retention

Guest data stays in your browser until you clear it. Account data is kept for as long as you keep your account; when you delete your account, your board data is deleted. You can also contact us to have your data erased.
