Kanban · to-do · free online board

A kanban to-do app for one person, not a whole company.

Most kanban tools are built for teams: workspaces, members, permissions, a sign-up wall before you see a card. inprogress is a kanban board for your own to-do list. It opens on the board, cards are created by typing, and columns are as simple as To Do, In Progress and Done until you decide otherwise.

Columns

Your lanes, your names

Click a column title to rename it. Add a lane from the ghost column at the end of the board, reorder or delete lanes as your flow changes.

Cards

Colour flags instead of labels

Six colour flags group cards by topic with no legend to maintain. Add an optional deadline; overdue cards are flagged with a word and a glyph.

Projects

One board per project

Keep work, home and a side project as separate boards, switched with tabs on desktop and pills on a phone.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a free kanban board?

Yes. The kanban board is free, with no card or column limits, and needs no account to use.

How is it different from Trello or Notion?

It is built for one person’s to-do list: no workspace, no members, no sign-up wall. The board is the home page and a task is created by typing and pressing Enter.

Can I switch between a kanban board and a list?

Yes. On wide screens a Board / List switch shows the same tasks as side-by-side lanes or as a single vertical day. Phones always get the list.

Does the kanban board support keyboard drag and drop?

Yes. Focus a card, press Space to pick it up, use the arrow keys to move it within or across columns, and press Space to drop.
